2. Why is it dangerous? (About Listeria)

This recall is due to contamination by Listeria monocytogenes.

🔬 What is Listeria?

Unlike many other germs, Listeria is tough. It can survive and even grow in cool temperatures (0~10℃), such as in your refrigerator. This means even food that looks fresh and has been kept cold can still be dangerous if contaminated.

While it may cause mild illness in healthy adults, it can be life-threatening for vulnerable groups:

  • Pregnant women & unborn babies: Can cause miscarriage, stillbirth, or severe illness in the newborn.
  • Newborns & The Elderly: High risk due to weaker immune systems (sepsis, meningitis).
  • Immunocompromised individuals: Can lead to severe systemic infection.

3. What should you do?

If you have purchased any of these products, please follow these steps:

  1. DO NOT EAT: Do not consume the product. Even cooking it may not make it safe if toxins have formed. Dispose of it or return it.
  2. Return for Refund: Return the product to the place of purchase (supermarket, butcher, etc.) for a full refund.
  3. Seek Medical Advice: If you have consumed the product and feel unwell (fever, muscle aches, nausea), seek medical attention immediately.
